The freezer lid opens from above, through a sturdy external metal handle, to reveal a substantial main cavity that is supplemented by a shelf and a basket. Versatile storage is made possible by the basket, which can be moved across the compartment to provide a different space. Also found on the pull gasket is the control panel, which can change the temperature at the push of a button as well as initiate the Fast Freeze function. That will lock conditions at minus 30 degrees for a running time of 26 hours, then deactivate. Simply press the same button if you wish for the programme to end sooner. This comes in handy after a large shopping trip, where food can be frozen quickly while keeping its nutrition and natural flavour. It’s advised to begin this process some hours before heading out.
Up to 9kg of items can be frozen in 24 hours, with a four-star rating that keeps them safe for up to a year. Manual defrosting is required, on occasion.
This model is rated A+ for energy efficiency, with projected annual power consumption of 219 kWh translating to just 0.6 kWh per day. The noise level output is at a low, with a sound of 44 decibels unlikely to disturb your household. LED lighting inside the freezer also makes for bright but economical visibility.
